📷 Scan a barcode

Point your camera at a Family Dollar barcode while you shop. We'll check it against our community list and tell you on the spot whether it's a known $0.01 penny or an under-97¢ deal.

💡 Set your store first to see if a scan has been confirmed where you shop.
🤝 A quick heads-up: penny pricing is unofficial and varies by store — the register is the final word. Please be kind to associates, don't demand a price, and take a "no" gracefully. How the penny policy works →

No camera, or it won't focus? Type or paste the barcode (UPC) or the SKU / item number instead — both work. Some Family Dollar shelf labels and packaging carry a SKU barcode rather than a UPC; the scanner reads those too.

Tip: Family Dollar's own app just says "product not found" for pennies. A "not in our list yet" here works the same way — it's often a penny, so verify with the Family Dollar app or at the register and submit it so others can find it too.

Pricing & info come from Family Dollar's distribution network, not individual stores. DCs supply the stores, so items are usually on shelves — but expect some inconsistency unless a shopper has confirmed it locally.

🔮 Shopping at Dollar General? Try the Dollar General penny scanner — it checks DG's own online penny signal for the item you scan.
