Scan or type a Dollar General item's barcode. We check it against Dollar General's own online penny signal and tell you if it's a likely $0.01 penny. The register is store-specific, so it's always the final word — if it rings up a penny, report it to help everyone.
The camera didn’t start. Manual entry below still works. If you’d like this fixed, tap Copy and send this to us — it says exactly which step failed on your phone.
No camera, or it won't focus? Type or paste the barcode (UPC) or the SKU / item number instead — both work. Some Dollar General shelf labels and packaging carry a SKU barcode rather than a UPC; the scanner reads those too.
Tip: Dollar General's own app just says "product not found" for pennies. A "not in our list yet" here works the same way — it's often a penny, so verify with the Family Dollar app or at the register and submit it so others can find it too.
Pricing & info come from Dollar General's distribution network, not individual stores. DCs supply the stores, so items are usually on shelves — but expect some inconsistency unless a shopper has confirmed it locally.
