Product details

Here at Value Seekers headquarters, many of us ended up being the thrifty, crafty geniuses that we are thanks in no small part to our Dads, Moms, Aunts, and Grandmas. Some of our most treasured possessions include family recipes, either handwritten, cut from a old magazines, or written quickly as grandma demonstrated a prized “secret” dish. Why would we want such cherished things to be hidden away in a recipe box? Instead, you can frame them as special kitchen art and always have them close at hand and protected from (any additional) ingredient smudges. If the recipe is on a single side, you can simply frame it like any photo. If it’s an odd size, simply use an acid free glue stick to attach it to decorative paper cut to the size of your frame. If it’s front and back (like on a recipe card or notebook paper), you can try this cool little idea:

Shop Dollar Tree, Here’s What You'll Need:

2 Frames Per Recipe

Your Favorite Recipes

Ribbon, Optional

Easy Step-by-Step Directions:

Disassemble both frames. You're just going to need the glass out of the second frame, so set the rest aside. (For a cute use of the extra frame, see the Framed Flatware on this month's Value Seeker's Club page)

Sandwich the recipe between the two sheets of glass and reassemble the frame without the backing.

Optional: glue ribbon to the back of the frame for easy hanging (and flipping to view the back side of your recipe).
